You’ll be glad to know that Savannah has decided that food is not such a bad thing. This week she turned a corner, and all of our persistence is paying off. Yesterday she ate 3 meals, and there was no crying! My mom remembered what I did to start drinking (because I didn’t take a bottle either), and so she tried it with Savannah. It worked! She drinks from a cup! No sippy cup or straw cup, just a regular kid cup. It’s a little messy, but hopefully that will get better too. In some ways it’s such a relief, just knowing that if for some reason I wasn’t around, she wouldn’t starve! They say that eventually they get hungry enough, and they will eat, but for a while there I wondered if she really would. Since she has been exclusively breastfed since she was born, no one else could take care of her for more than 3-4 hours, so now her nana and papa will get some more extended time with her.
