I read this article about a baby in India born with 2 faces. I will pause, as I’m sure you have already clicked on the link to see the picture……
I typically don’t post about stuff like this, but I found the differences in culture fascinating. If a child was born in America with 2 faces, it too would be newsworthy, but we would be seeing the story of all the surgeries needed and how the family/child coped with such a disability. In contrast, because of their belief system, the people of India consider her a reincarnated goddess, and are actually visiting her so they can touch her feet. The parents are so accepting of her disability they have even refused a CT scan to determine if her internal organs are normal. Talk about cultural differences…in our society, a parent would be charged with medical negligence if they made such a choice!

My thoughts exactly, and the father states My child is fine.. just like other children. Total acceptance.
